Adult learners gathered at my home in December to play pieces from their current repertoire, and duets.  We all had a great time—despite the nerves—and it was a lovely way to look back on the progress and discovery of the last year.

Music Making Morning

It has been just over two years since I last introduced an increase in fees.  Given the economic squeeze we are many of us feeling, I have not increased basic rates which will remain at £14.00 per half hour.  This will also be retained as the rate I use to set group lesson charges. 

However the reduced rates available off-peak and to siblings will rise to £10.00 from 20th February 2012.   Other terms and conditions remain unchanged, including my commitment not to increase prices more than once in any 18 month period, and to give half a term’s notice before any price increase.

Thank you! The Practice-a-thon in the run up to the end-of-term concert in December had a good response.  If you still have a sponsorship form, it is not to late to take part —just let me know when you think you will be ready to hand it in.  This is in aid of CLICSargent, the children’s cancer charity.  If you prefer not to ask family and friends to sponsor your practice but would still like to make a donation that would be fine too. 

If you were unable to attend the performance class this time, do try to make it to one of these before the next concert if you can, they are interesting and fun!
